Community Guidelines

PODIFF is a place for creating and sharing great Point of Difference articles. It helps you learn and make choices in a new way. PODIFF is a fun, social and insightful way of learning and comparing various things.

These community guidelines are intended for the purpose of an understanding about the appropriate things to do or not to do on PODIFF. It also acts as an extension of our Terms of Use mentioned in the following link : http://www.podiff.com/terms-of-use

What to do:

  1. Do share interesting and original PODs.

    PODIFF is a great way of creating interesting Point of Difference articles. You can choose interesting topics and create PODs. Try to be original and stick to the facts.

  2. Do share photos that you’ve taken.

    PODIFF lets you add photos in PODs or create entirely photo PODs. Be careful in choosing photos. Respect copyright ownership of images you upload.

  3. Do share photos that are safe for people of all ages.

    Remember that our community is a diverse one, and that your posts are visible to people as young as 13 years old. While we respect the artistic integrity of photos, we have to keep our product and the content within it in line with our App Store’s rating for nudity and mature content. In other words, please do not post nudity or mature content of any kind. You can upload relevant images to your PODs in the Adult tag of PODIFF but it should strictly be in accordance with the topic of the POD and should have a clear correlation to the running topic.

  4. Do treat others as you would like to be treated.

    People from around the world with different backgrounds come together to share PODs on PODIFF, which is great, but it also means that not everyone will agree with what you think or believe. We ask that all users be polite and respectful in their interactions with other members.

  5. Do have meaningful & genuine interactions.

    Self-promotion or commercial solicitation of any kind, in any form, is rarely well-received. Users often notice when you have posted the same comment elsewhere or have followed a large number of users to gain followers in return, so please be sincere with your exchanges on PODIFF.

  6. Do have fun!

    PODIFF is the best way to quickly share great comparative data about various topics. You can do a lot of interesting things and interact with other users.

What not to do:

It is important to note that overstepping the boundaries outlined below may result in a disabled account, or discontinued access to PODIFF, without warning.

  • Don’t share PODs and content which are copied from other sources.

    You must not create PODs based on content copied from other sources. A deliberate paste and copy can result in a suspension of your account. Neither you should copy from any of the other user’s PODs to create your own. .

  • Don’t share photos that aren’t yours.

    This includes other people’s posts, and/or things that you have copied or collected from the Internet. Accounts that solely consist of only this type of content may be disabled at any time. .

  • Don’t share photos that show nudity or mature content.

    If you wouldn’t show the photo you are thinking about uploading to a child, or your boss, or your parents, you probably shouldn’t share it on OPOSOD. The same rule applies to your profile photo. Accounts found sharing nudity or mature content will be disabled and your access to OPOSOD may be discontinued. In ‘Adult’ tag do not deliberately add nude or offensive pictures. Adult tag is created for users to get more informed about topics related to health, adult and other sexual anomalies. .

  • Don’t share PODs to incite controversies.

    If we find you sharing PODs on prohibited or illegal content, including photographs of extreme violence, gore or hurting religious sentiments and creating fake propaganda, your account may be disabled and we will take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities. .

  • Don’t spam.

    When you engage in self-promotional behavior of any kind on PODIFF it makes users feel sad and misguided. This guideline includes repetitive comments, as well as service manipulation in order to self-promote, and extends to commercial spam comments, such as discount codes or URLs to websites, advertisements of any sort and exchanging numbers. We ask that you keep your interactions on PODIFF meaningful and genuine. .

  • Don’t be rude.

    PODIFF is a friendly place where everyone should feel safe and comfortable sharing their thought process. It is not an appropriate place to abuse, attack, harass, or impersonate others. If we receive valid complaints about your conduct, we’ll send a warning or disable your account. .

  • Don't promote or glorify self-harm.

    Any account found encouraging or urging users to embrace anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders; or to cut, harm themselves, commit suicide, or any such harm to self or others will result in a disabled account without warning. We believe that communication regarding these behaviors in order to create awareness, come together for support and to facilitate recovery is important, but that PODIFF is not the place for active promotion or glorification of self-harm. .

  • BQUOBE holds exclusive rights to block a content/channel/account if it violates any of the community guidelines, copyrights, privacy policy or term of use.

    Changes in Community Guidelines

    As new situations come to our attention we may find it necessary to alter or expand upon the policies stated here with little or no notification and any such changes may be enforced in full against previously existing submissions or behavior. Alterations of policy may be announced through either the PODIFF Status Forum or through other Announcements and News Topics.

    If you believe you will have trouble following these guidelines we’d suggest not to use PODIFF and PODIFF Service, as PODIFF may not be the best place for you. We value these guidelines, and believe that they will help keep PODIFF a fun and social information sharing platform.
